Hi, my name is Stuart and I’m a Creative Art Therapist. I grew up immersed in a world of theatre, visual arts and music and believe they hold a powerful connection to our emotions and memories. I've also worked across a number of different fields, including building and project management, festivals and events, front of house and the service industry to name but a few. I'm a dad, a partner, a volunteer at the local community garden. I'm a regular guy who's worked through addiction, raised a neurodiverse kid and dealt with my own mental health issues. I believe my lived experience allows me to meet and connect with all people from a place of empathy and understanding.

My style of art therapy explores our emotional patterns and how we experience life. When we understand our emotional patterns we begin to understand ourselves more fully. And when we understand ourselves we can begin to heal and move forward with a greater sense of self.

I have an emergent and explorative style and love introducing a wide variety of different artistic styles in my sessions as a way of finding the right fit for the individual. I come from a multi-disciplinary background of music, visual art and performing art and tend to instinctively draw on any of these styles that best suit the sessions. I look to promote curiosity and enjoyment in the participant by offering an enjoyable place to interact, with a focus on process over outcome.

I'm located in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs and available for home visits throughout the Melbourne region.
My practising days are Monday & Tuesday from 9am -6pm and Wednesday 9am - 2pm.
Sessions outside these times may be arranged upon request if time is available.
