I have worked in the field of disability for over 34 years specialising in Early Childhood Intervention with children 0- 6 years and families .

I trained in Belfast N Ireland in 1984 and then worked in the Children's Hospital in Edinburgh before being recruited in 1988 to work in community Early Childhood Intervention in the Western suburbs of Melbourne . The Early Intervention team was a multidisciplinary team and provided support and therapy services to children 0 - 6 yrs and their families with a range of developmental issues . I then managed an ECI program auspiced by the RCH from 1994 for over 7 years taking a couple of years off to look after my own children. In that time I also started my sole practice mainly working with babies and infants in their own homes and community but then later with older children and adults prescribing AT equipment .

Over the last 34 years I have attended many courses , conferences and workshops developing my skill base , knowledge and experience working with children 0 - 6 years . I have worked at a Special School for 2 years and then spent 10 years working on the adult team for a organisation called SCOPE in southern region of Melbourne . There I did multiple assessments and prescriptions for Assisted Technology items especially specialising in wheelchairs . While part time with SCOPE I continued working in my sole practice again mainly with children 0 - 6yrs

I moved to Brisbane from Melbourne 2 yrs ago and now keen to work with infants and young children in their homes and local community .
I am available MON to THUR and can travel 20 - 25kms from WEST END .
I believe I am extremely approachable , easy to work with and believe it is a team approach when working with families and the community
