I graduated from Queen Margaret University in 2019 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. Half of my
working career has been within acute and rehabilitation settings within the NHS. Prior to moving to Australia, I worked within 2 different hospitals within NHS Scotland. These jobs gave me the opportunity to work within a variety of different inpatient and community rehabilitation settings. This meant that I was able to work with patients who presented with an array of medical conditions including:
Neurological conditions
General functional decline
Orthopaedic rehabilitation
Vascular and amputee – pre and post surgery
Additional learning needs and mental health issues.
Having worked within a variety of different areas, I would say I have a particular interest in working in rehabilitation and enjoy the variety of conditions and presentations which can arise from this. I enjoy working with the individual to help them work towards achieving their specific goals whilst optimising their function as much as possible. This will all contribute to allow the person to live as independently as possible within their home environment.
My colleagues describe me as kind, fun loving and someone who always advocates for their patient and what is in their best interests. I work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm in the eastern suburbs and inner west of Sydney.
