Many patients eligible for the this plan gets general foot macitence every sit to eight weeks throughout the year,

Are you eligible for bulk billed podiatry?

Unfortunately not everyone is eligible for bulk billed podiatry. To be eligible your need to meet medicare’s criteria and have a special referral from your doctor.

Medicare’s criteria!

To be eligible for bulk billed podiatry you need a chronic injury or illness. The injury needs to be present more than six months, or likely to be present more than six months. Typically this is diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, or osteoarthritis.

Doctor referral

To be eligible for bulk billed podiatry you need an EPC referral from your doctor. This is different to a simple letter your doctor might provide a podiatrist. Its an official application to medicare, it provides your podiatrists the information required to invoice medicare. Without this EPC referral we cannot send the invoice to medicare.

So you’ve got a referral?

Unfortunately medicare does not pay a standard podiatrist consultation fee. Thus many podiatrists at other clinics do not bulk bill. Owner Health is committed to providing affordable healthcare so we bulk bill whenever possible. Other podiatry clinics may charge you $50-$80 extra each consultations.
