I always get asked why Podiatry? Well feet were always in my future, when at 9 years old my dad planted the seed you would make a good chiropodist! (as it was known back then). After researching the field, I then trained in the UK and graduated in 2004 with an Hons degree in Podiatry.

I developed over the next 6 years working in the health service in a variety of community and hospital settings. I was blessed to gain extensive experience in Diabetes, nail surgery and acute care within drop in clinics. I also did my groundwork of routine care within aged care and home based care before moving to New Zealand with my family in 2010.

Since immigrating, I have worked for other private clinics gaining an understanding of Podiatry practices with Hamilton, Whakatane and the Tauranga region. I have worked with variety of sports professions utilising my musculoskeletal skills in gait and orthotic management and worked part time as a Specialist Podiatrist at Tauranga Hospital for 8 years dealing with the High Risk foot and complications. This has given me a great depth of knowledge dealing with compromised feet and wound care. During this time I have had the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team including orthopaedic and vascular teams. This makes me a very well rounded practitioner to deal with a variety of lower limb problems and conditions.

In 2012, I started my journey as a business owner but then sold a practice to take time out to just be a part of another Podiatry team and be a mum when my second son was born in 2015. I then restarted my business journey building it from scratch and working hard to grow a sustainable Podiatry practice. In 2023 I have seen a massive need for Podiatry within the community, especially within the mobile sector and this is where I now provide leading podiatry care within the aged care and community sector.
