Tekarie (Tek) joins Brisbane Paediatric Physio with a strong passion for working with children. Tek has extensive experience working with children with a range of physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities, gross motor delays, orthopaedic, musculoskeletal and cardio respiratory issues. Tek’s experience in private practice, hospital and rehabilitation settings has provided her with a passion for delivering inclusive, adaptive, evidence-based care for clients and their families. She loves being able to work alongside clients and their families to achieve both short and long-term goals, which correlates with improvements in their quality of life. Tek’s warm, caring, and playful therapy style is highly engaging for the children she works with and valued by their families.
Tekarie completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree through Charles Sturt University in 2017. She is currently completing her Masters in Paediatric Physiotherapy through Monash University and has completed a range of other paediatric specific courses including APA Paediatric Level 1, Registered Behavioural Technician (RBT) Introductory Course and OSKAR (orthotic) Course.
In her free time Tek loves to keep active, you’ll either find her at the gym, playing netball or walking her two labradors Nala and Arli. She also enjoys spending her weekends at the beach.
Tekarie is currently available on Mondays and will service Brisbane and the surrounding areas.
