Art Therapist

About

Having a passion for mental health and the arts, Jasmine is a practising Art Therapist, and active artist who draws her inspiration from motherhood and the beauty that can exist in everyday life.

Jasmine studied a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Ballarat (Federation Uni), focussing her work on how art can help process trauma, grief and life transitions. She then furthered her passion for mental health and the arts through completing a Masters of Art Therapy from Latrobe University, working in a variety of areas including acute clinical settings, as well as group and individual settings working with women and children who have experienced domestic violence.

Jasmine believes that the art making process has the power to give insight into parts of our lives that may be otherwise difficult to express or find words to articulate, creating a deeper understanding of ourselves and appreciation of our capabilities.

She works primarily with a person centred approach to support you with your wants and needs, and is a strong believer that Art Therapy is about the process of creation, and that you don’t need ‘art skills’ or any prior experience to benefit from art therapy.

Please feel free to reach out to Jasmine if you have any questions about Art Therapy.
