Tia Iskandar is a Registered Music Therapist and Neurologic Music Therapist. Her clinical experiences include working in settings of acute pediatric hospital, palliative hospital, progressive neurology, aged care, refugee care, neurodiversity-affirming practice, and community disability rehabilitation across all ages. Initially trained as a classical pianist, Tia believes in the holistic power of music in supporting individuals to live fully at every stage of their lives. Tia enjoys the dynamic of working with all ages, and is most passionate about bringing music as an accessible & sustainable support for individuals and communities with neurological conditions. Tia takes the person-centred approach as the foundation of her eclectic clinical work in supporting individuals for their goals, needs, and dreams. Outside of work, Tia enjoys hanging out with friends, exploring new foods, traveling, photography, drawing, cooking, karaoke, and playing Balinese Gamelan.
