Rohan Davies grew up in Brisbane and completed a Science Degree at the University of Queensland, prior to studying Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia. Whilst in Adelaide he taught in the Anatomy Department of the University of Adelaide and was heavily involved with the South Australian Rugby Union. He qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1997 and moved to the Fraser Coast to work as a new graduate, where he also continued his work with local rugby teams as well as acting as physiotherapist for the Wide Bay regional side. In 1999 Rohan moved to the UK where he worked in various roles including a stint with the Ministry of Defence. From 2001 until late 2006 he worked in private practice in Berkshire, west of London. During this time he was able to consolidate his skills and also had the opportunity to liaise and work with some excellent orthopaedic surgeons including those at the Reading Shoulder Unit. Since establishing Northside Sports Medicine, Rohan has also built ties with the Brisbane Irish Rugby Union Club, Norths Premier Rugby Union Club and the North West Private Hospital.
Rohan is able to provide exceptional evidence based care for both acute, post-operative and chronic conditions. He understands the difficulty people face being unable to attend for appropriate treatment, and is able to deliver this to clients in the comfort of their own home. With well integrated information technology systems, he is rarely more than a mouse click away.
In addition to his interest in Sports Medicine, Rohan has also undertaken further training and education in Workplace Health and Safety and Occupational Health. He is available for both Workplace Assessments and Consulting.
Most recently Rohan has been appointed to the Match Day Medical Team supporting QLD Reds home games.
