Jacqui French graduated from Physiotherapy at Latrobe University, Australia in 2005. Jacqui has had
a diverse physiotherapy career working across both the public and private sectors in Medical
Research, Acute Care, Private Practice and Rehabilitation.
Jacqui worked at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton for over 10 years where she specialized in
Musculoskeletal health, Aquatic Physiotherapy and Post Acute Care. Concurrently she was working
at Epworth Brighton focusing on rehabilitation following Orthopaedic surgery and was team
physiotherapist for the AFL Victorian Country Under 16 team in the National Carnival. She has also
completed training in clinical pilates through DMA and continues to include this in her private
Whilst taking time off to raise her family she joined Melbourne Orthopaedic shoulder surgeon,
Shane Barwood in 2011 as his Research Coordinator and has since had multiple publications in
medical journals and developed new Patient reported outcome measures for the Shoulder. She has
continued to work closely with Shane and now she manages his patients post operatively as well as
working with her husband in their Fitness studio in Brighton. Jacqui enjoys adding variety to her
caseload with visiting patients through Own Body and enjoys working collaboratively with them to
achieve their functional goals.
