Dilani’s passion for health and wellness fuels a career centred on holistic injury rehabilitation, prevention and management. She graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Physiotherapy, and fosters a special interest in exercise-based rehabilitation. She brings to Own Body a background in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, as well as experience in hospital settings ranging from inpatient orthopaedics to neurological rehabilitation.
Dilani’s interest in exercise and physical health has lead her to work in a variety of settings, from local Melbourne footy clubs to a private clinic in Los Angeles, where she was lucky to learn from leading Pilates-based injury rehabilitation physiotherapists.
Through Own Body, Dilani values the opportunity to meet and work with people from all walks of life, with diverse experiences and needs. She enjoys working closely with her clients to understand their lifestyle and goals, tailoring their management and treatment to what suits them most. She ultimately aims to empower people to feel confident in their bodies and continue doing matters to them most.
In her down-time, you can generally find Dilani gravitating towards activities that keep her moving and probably outdoors! Ask any time to see photos of her dog Ferb, or what podcast she’s been listening to on their morning walks.
While she was born in New Zealand, Dilani is a proud Sri Lankan-Australian and speaks fluent Sinhalese.
