Experienced, reliable and well respected by patients and colleagues alike, Claire Westra graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Podiatry with 1st Class Honours. She has since joined Owner Health in its expansion and is also currently undertaking a research role in podiatric surgery and pharmacology field with the Clinical Sciences department at QUT.
Aside from her flexible home visit sessions she practices 2.5 days a week at a Woolloongabba private practice, and consults at the Wellers Hill Medical Centre on Friday mornings. Claire is also a Mater Health Professional who visits private patients in hospital and in rehabilitation centres. She operates her home visits across North, Central and South Brisbane.
She is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and has taken a hands on approach in the community having been involved with patient treatment for the Oxfam Trailwalker and in regular paediatric screening sessions for disabled children.
Claire is a member of the Australian Podiatry Association Committee as well as the Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine Committee. Claire’s main professional interests are in diabetic foot care and the treatment of chronic leg and foot conditions.
