Cathy enjoys working for Own Body due to the caseload variety, supportive environment and workplace flexibility. Cathy loves her role in helping to support team development and growth as well as seeing clients in their homes. She is an experienced Physiotherapist with over 10 years experience, having graduated from Latrobe University at the end of 2005. She has worked predominantly in the public health sector for most of her career in both the UK and Australia and has a diverse range of clinical skills including: Aged Care, Amputee rehabilitation, Falls & Balance and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation.
She also has strong skills in teaching undergraduate physiotherapy students from Melbourne and Latrobe Universities. Cathy has extensive experience working with clients in their own homes and understands the true value of treating clients in the home environment. She has a special interest in Aged Care rehabilitation and is passionate about how physiotherapy, exercise and a holistic approach to therapy can assist her elderly clients to achieve their goals, improve wellbeing and quality of life.
Her two young children and her husband’s café business take up most of her spare time however she does enjoy exercising regularly to keep fit and healthy. Cathy is also part way through completing her Masters Degree in Health Science with a Gerontology Major.
